Sable is a curious marionette of the White Fraction, even though she was interested in the Black Faction being a ghost possessed marionette and all. At first she may appear shy and isolated, but she will warm up to someone over time and show her true colors.

One of many concerns is the fear of rejection of her being rather inhuman. Even though she is able to feel emotions like happiness, anger, and sorrow, even love, she cannot physically show it, which sometimes depresses her. She also cannot physically feel anything, such as a flame or a hug, so sometimes she may come off a little coldhearted or slow to react. This is a possible danger, but Sable has gotten pretty good at reacting accordingly.

On good days, which is most, Sable is often very early to events or performances. In that case, she will stand there outside the appointed tent, completely still, waiting for her time to go on the stage. If she ever had a bad day in which her clockwork is messed up, terrible (and sometimes comical) events will occur. Rarely does Sable get into a bad mood, but if she does a gear might pop out of place and she will act weird or jittery until it is fixed. The worst that could happen if she gets mad would be ceasing up and collapsing like a lifeless doll. Again, she would have to go to the repair shop for this, and thankfully they’re pretty good with clockwork.

In her free time, Sable will often wonder away and return very quietly, she enjoys walking around the circus grounds, watching the guests and other actors with wonder. She doesn’t go outside the circus very often, only when she is with another trusted performer of the circus just incase she looses power. She never had a trust issue, but Sable does worry that if she looses power, that someone would take advantage of her. She likes to laugh and have a good time, enjoying her time pleasing the guests that come to watch her.

✶ H i s t o r y :
Sable’s story started with her death, as terribly cliche as that sounds. She was the daughter of a famous clocksmith who made fine clocks for the rich and the poor. She had died at a young age of 15 because of a terrible disease that was crossing through London. Despite himself and how much of a taboo it was, he created a doll made up entirely of clockwork and planned to bring her soul back to this world. Of coarse it took years for him to complete so he created a doll in which, if his daughter would have been alive, to be her proper age. At the end of completing the then lifeless doll, he requested the assistance of the underground; Black art magicians and necromancers he had once sold numerous clocks to. They came to his aid because they were fair business men. It took ages for the ceremony to be completed. Looking for the soul of a loved one was harder than it appeared. After several attempts, and many failures, there came a soft tick-tock from the doll. The clocksmith was overwhelmed when he saw his creation - his girl - open her eyes for the first time in years. It was a success.

A year or so passed since her return to life. She never questioned how or why, she was happy to be with her father once more. Though it was hard at first, when she came to realize that she couldn't feel like she once had. Yes, she could laugh, sing, and smile, but she couldn't feel the emotions of being love, the warmth of a hug, or the sorrow of loosing a loved one. Her father and she had to hide the fact that she wasn't human - just a doll possessed by a ghost of a girl. It wasn't terribly hard, her long red hair would hide the key in her back used to wind her up every morning. Though as time went on, her father grew gray and soon it became too obvious that she wasn't fading like a human at all.

When the time came, they left their tiny house in London and traveled to the marvelous country life in Cardiff Bay, Wales. Her father, though aging, still created his wondrous clocks, and soon she became his assistant. They lived happily for years, until his peacefully fell asleep and never woke again.

Even though her soul felt the pain and suffering of loosing her father, she couldn't cry or grieve for his death. In despair she ended up locking herself in the dark house. Soon the famous clocksmith and his assistant were forgotten. She fell into a deep sleep as her gears slowly came to a stop.

Some years had passed when there came a knock at the door of the abandoned house. A customer from years ago had dropped by seeking a repair for one of the clocksmiths pieces. The door fell open and the customer was shocked to see the assistant lifelessly laying on the floor, eyes blank and absent. Being a good person the customer went to her aid to discover the truth of the assistant's long kept secret. Seeing the key in her back, he curiously turned it and then the soft tick-tock of her heartbeat brought her back to life. After a long chat and explanation of her true identity and having no where to go, the customer temporarily took her in. As repayment, she fixed his clock.

Together they wondered Europe, the customer turned out to be a collector for oddities and a thrill seeker. She enjoyed her time with him greatly but still felt like her whole world was empty. Thats when the Circus came to town. They were staying at a hotel in Venice when they heard of a mysterious circus that opened only at night. Curiousity got the better of them and they went to explore the wonders of the black and white circus. After several visits she soon found herself wishing to remain here, a place that filled her hollow clockwork body. She spoke to the customer, whom she had grown very fond since he rescued her, about her need to be with the circus. He understood knowing that they could never truly be together like either of them had wanted to be.

That was the last time they saw each other. Secretly she wished to see him once more. But her world now opened in a dream of black and white and magic.

✶ M I S C/O t h e r I n f o r m a t i o n:
- Has to wind up every morning and before every show so that she doesn't freeze.
- Can still think when frozen/sleeping.
- Its just easier for someone else to do wind her up, but she can do it on her own.
- Technically she doesn't need rest or sleep, but her gears will over heat if she goes for too long.
- Doesn't have toes so being a little self-conscious she rarely takes her shoes off in front of others.
- Doesn't have to eat either.
- Must maintain her inner workings on a regular basis - sometimes she must go to the shop - like a check up ha.
- Has two keys, one silver for the shows and the other gold for every day wear.
- If you listen closely you can hear the tick-tock of her gears.
